Question about battery relocation / audio location
Ok, so I pulled my back seats, and I plan to fiberglass over it to be level with the rest of the back area. I'd like to possibly relocate my battery behind the driver's side and make a custom-molded box that has an 8" sub mounted in the middle and use the volume of the passenger-side for the volume that the box would need. I'd put one amp under each seat (one amp for the sub, one for the speakers, unless i decided to bridge chan3/4 on a multi-channel amp to run the sub), and have power line run alone the driver's side, and audio cables run along the passenger side.
Does anyone think I'd have any issues having a battery so close to the sub? Honestly, I don't see how there would be, but I just wanted to make sure before I start working on this project.

Try searching.. if that doesn't work, might try posting a separate thread about this. try not to hijack peoples threads.

interesting...it probably doesn't look how i picture it in my head, but i guess i'll find out how it goes. i put down the first layer of fiberglass this evening and i'm going to sand what little bit needs to be sanded and then put down another layer before i go pulling it out
by the way, does any know how much resin a regular can should cover? i used a whole can tonight, and it only covered a about 10sq ft worth of mat...just wondering if there's an easier application method than im using (paint brush)

honestly if you are doing it right you shouldnt have to move the battery or anything im running a brand new kenwood unit with a 2k amp powering a pair of 6x9 with new speakers in back and havent had one single glitch subs with the already heavy vibration of a rotary is a bad idea honestly

heavy vibration of a rotary? ummm....i don't know about you, but i don't have any sort of heavy vibrations. sounds like you have some busted motor mounts?
i'm just wanting to relocate it to make more room hunder the hood; no, i don't *need* to do it but, then again, i don't *need* to have an rx7 in the first place technically
