Putting on Toyo Proxes T1R 205/45R17 tires

Would Toyo Proxes T1R 205/45R17 or 205/50R17 tires fit on an 90 RX-7 FC which will have 17 x 7 rims? I'm thinking on buying those tires soon and want to be sure before I buy.

Tires are tiny, so they're no problem- everything depends on the wheel offset.

They'll fit... but T1Rs really suck. Dated design, squirmy feel and not much grip wet or dry.

Which Toyo tires would you recommend for daily driving and for occasionally driftng on the track?

I would love to drive your FC. It must feel like it's glued to the road now. I had T1R's on my car once and I thought they were great wet & dry, but I had very little tire experience then.

If you must have Toyos, R1Rs are worlds better. But there are better options from other brands.

It could be better. But as it sits it's pretty good

T1Rs came out in the early 2000s and they were only kinda sorta OK then.
