putting in new racepipe..actuator concerns..

so i got this racepipe with presilencer..id post but forum is goofy right now with pics...it bolts up to the header...and to the y pipe...my basic question is how do you properly actuate the ports with this setup? there are no holes where the actuator hose is on my oem exhaust.....

it is a pipe that i bought from a guy who had it on his 90 7..and im putting it on my 89 vert.

i have pics and the stupid forum wont let me post them.

the pipe is from rx7.com..if that helps...its baddass..but again im concerned about port actuation and how i will properly do this..

thanks

Arent the ports controlled by the airpump on series5 cars? I know series4 cars need that split air pipe for the actuators to function correctly. If I'm not mistaken, you can run without that pipe and still have functional actuators.

Yes the air pump does actuate the the aux ports on an s5, I think the split air pipe just injects fresh air intro the exhaust i'm not sure tho anyone kno for sure ??

All this info is available via the search function.

On an S5, the 5th and 6th ports are run by pressure from the air pump.

And posting the same questions over and over and over again just add to the "crap" that others must sort through.

Really, any search for "ports" or "aux ports" will bring up MULTIPLE topics that explain the operation of the port system. Nearly EVERY post to do with the 5th and 6th ports results in a long explanation because it seems that very few people can figure out how they work...

Uh, your post count is 188.

I am with Aaron on this one. You could have searched easily.

This was found: https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...light=auxports

From this: https://www.rx7club.com/forum/search...der=descending

"Auxports" Now how do you explain that one.
