Get one of those engine tilt bars, and use the stock engine lift hooks. Install the engine and tranny with the intake off and the radiator out.

this is the best way. Although i have done it 2 times with out the leveler. Its a bit hard and you should definatly have a friend or someone there to help you . Good luck!

Edited: not sure for the na's . but if you pulling a stock t2 engine there is a miunting hole on a bracket right near the oil filler and a mount on the UIM back towards the fire wall

Yea, just use the two mounting points and ease it in slowly... make sure you take the fan and pulley off if you have one and remove radiator... after that it should be easy, with the help of a friend, to put it in...

I removed mine by myself, but I would recommend a second hand. There are 2 mounting point one on the rear and one on the front iron. I used a rope tied around the transmission to angle the engine out in conjuction with the hoist. Go to this link under the tech section there is a how to: http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/

thats seems to be the best way. If you cant get a engine tilt bars (you dont REALLY need it) just get a nice friend. Me and my dad did it w/out a tilt bar no problem.

Butt Jim, that crane might have too short of a boom to slide that motor in. remember the 7 engine sits way back and the front nose does come into play.

As far as how, just get the right engine crane, strap a chain on and drop it in. Helper not a must but can be a life saver.

I usually have the car up on stands (all four corners) it makes the job a bit easier. Also, I always install with everhting I can assemble on the engine, intake included. never had a problem.

Have to disagree that boom is plenty long enough to get the engine into an FC engine bay and bolt it down. But looks like your son will have a definate sleeper once he gets the TII engine installed in that Jeep Jim
