87' turbo II.
so i started my car up to go drive around for a bit last night but i noticed my clutch pedal was a little too close to the ground and i was going to fix it. so i turn around at the end of my street, pull back into my driveway and when i come back out of the garage with the wrenches i notice that my car isn't purring like it usually does but instead is putting like a f-ing lawnmower. also it's idling at about 500. whenever i step on the gas it stumbles for a second then revs up very slowly maintaining the puutt putt puttputtputputpu and a lot of white smoke comes out which smells like gas. i think it may be a leaky injector since i did just get some used ones put in about 6000 miles ago. if anyone has had any experience with this sort of thing please chime in.

Did you check your ignition timing? How long since your plugs were replaced? It could be an injector, but it sounds like ignition to me.

 

I think it definitely wouldn't hurt to check those injectors...and might as well do what NoDOHC said and check the ignition timing. My old NA did that with a vac leak, but I'm not sure if it is your problem as well. I had to put on new gaskets on my engine, and that sucked ***.
