Ok Like a few people out there i have broke the Purge control valve and dont want to spend $45 dollars for a new one. I dont like the way the sytem works (gas fumes in the oil filer neck, SLIGHT possibility of oil consumpsion). Now i want to remove it of course, but still want to make sure a few problems are addressed. I checed to see if there was any pressure in the oil filer neck and there wasnt. So couldnt i just use a breather cap instead of the cap or one of those $30 summit tanks with the breather on top and hook it to the purge control hose?. Unless you need to put a small vacumm to get rid of minor fumes in the "crankcase" like just connecting the oil filler neck hose strait to the top hose with a check valve?
Now as for the gas fumes go if you do the valve bypass like i just mentioned by connecting the neck hose directly to the top hose with a check valve wouldnt that be good enough? Or If you dissconnect the gas fume hose from the filler neck and plug both holes woulnt the hose with check valve on the TID be good enough?

I did a search and got a lot of opionions. I just want a different way to go without the purge valve and make sure everything will be running top shape.

The purge valve is part of the 13B "PCV" system.  You cannot just cap everything without running into trouble.  The "crankcase" is pressurized during the time the engine is running, due to oil aeration and fumes.  Popping on a breather filter would work, but I've heard of problems of oil leaking through the filter element under heavy cornering conditions.  Yes, the oil CAN travel all the way up the oil fillter neck...
If you're going to remove the purge valve, the proper way to do it (IMO) is to run an oil catch can...
