Purchasing a Series5 with more then 100,000km????

Just wondering whether a rotary engine needs re-built at 100,000km?

as i heard that they are not too reliable without a rebuilt after that milage!!!

any suggestion? as i am looking for one from japan with $110,000km!

anything else should look out for?!

cheers!

This has been covered here many times before...

It depends on the car, and more importantly how it was driven and taken care of. My 88 TII has 171,000miles on it and it's still going strong (knocks on wood). That would be 275,000KM.

If you read the FAQ at the top of the page it lists stuff to look out for when buying an FC.

Well, 110,000km equals 68,000 miles which should present no problems. Turbo engines can run 150,000 miles 241000km or more if not abused without major problems. Would be based on engine condition.

The NA engine with good maintenance should go 2 to 3 times that far before showing signs of wear.
