Pulsing Idle = TPS hehe

Well, like many others I've been fighting idle gremlins for awhile. My motor is rebuilt about 15k ago, and no adjustments have been made since my 1k check up. Last month I installed a CAI, and since then have had pulsing idle. When AC is on its rock steady at 1k, but without it it either is steady at 1100 or pulses between 200-800.

I *painstakingly* went through everything over the last 4 weeks looking for a vac leak. Replaced a few gaskets, applied a few new hose clamps...no luck. My car is absolutely AIRTIGHT.

So. Out of frustration, I started adjusting my TPS. 1/4 turn at a time. Finally...1 full turn later, it fell into place! The thing is, I figured since all I had done was put on CAI it wouldnt be TPS. I was wrong hehe.

My motor has such good compression it holds an idle at 400 RPM, but I set it to 750 of course. Absolutely rock solid. So with those with idle gremlins, hopefully my experience can help. One thing I know after 3 RX's, they are VERY tempermental with regards to vac leaks so start there.

Hang in there...you'll get it
