pulsation damper question

so after trying to sell my car i decided to just fix it. i got the car started the other day and the pulsation damper was leaking. i reached down too it (while the car was running) and the car just died. now the car wont start and im not hearing my fuel pump going at all. i checked the fuses and there good did my pump go out??? i also ran out of gas like 5 times too?????? could this have caused the pump too die?? basically it was running and just died randomly??? help asap thanks

Well if you said that you ran your car out of gas 4 or 5 times, yeah, thats a good way to burn a fuel pump up because 98% of them are lubricated by the gasoline flowing thru them...

dunno about the pulsation dampener, but yeah, running a car out of gas = BAD

Use a multimeter at the connection between the pump and the wiring harness (Behind the driver's rear shock tower) and see if you are getting power there. If so I would guess pump bad.
