LOL I am dealing with the exact same problem as I type. I was thinking I might file down one of my 3 14mm open end wrenches to get it in there. Not sure if its threaded or not, I assume so.. the manifold ones are.

 

vice grips!! I got a wrench on my manifold ones, but i had to use vice grips to grab the ones in the block... I figured I wouldn't be using them anymore anyway, but i damaged them suprisingly little by getting them out..

yeah..they're threaded just like the other ones

You gonna plug it with a bolt + teflon tape?

Well I plan on putting mine back in. I am just taking them out to clean them, and put my new injector lines on them.

A standard 3/4 box end wrench works perfectly.

Needs almost no clearance, and grips perfectly.

 

Come on, take your time and do it right... You'll need to remove the upper intake manifold, fuel rails, all that stuff. God knows there are plenty of things under there that need replacing anyway (hoses, gaskets, vac lines). You should be able to get a crescent wrench on 'em no problem then! I find that if I try to do something quick I always get VERY frustrated. I've learned to take the time to remove EVERYTHING and it goes a lot smoother.

I just cleaned mine on my vert. I just ground down a 14mm wrench, and unscrewed them. Lots of liquid wrench helps.

 

theres no need to grind tools.

A 3/4 box end standard wrench works fine.

Jeremy and I feel the same way on this one....

If this is the way you'll work on your cars, (espeicially somthing as important as the oil injectors), then your cars are in the wrong hands.
