Pullin this motor is kicking my BUTT
Geeze I envy you guys that think this is easy. I have been working on this thing for about 5 hours now 3 yesterday 2 or so today and MAN! there are some small spots my meat hooks don't fit into (6'4" 340 odd pounds with hands that aren't small) Although the instructions left here by Sean Cathcart have been a BIG help.
Anyways, I just wanted to wine, bitch and complain to somebody and unfortunately You guys are the recipients. For now I'm gonna go bust some more knuckles get that motor loose and go pick up my buddy's cherry picker to do the extraction.

Yea I see what you guys are saying, Baby is a GXL which means she has EVERYTHING except for a turbo hooked onto that engine. Things are going a little quicker now that I got that stupid A/C P/S POS bracket off the engine. well, the studs are still sticking in it but the nuts are off. unfortunately I dont have anyone helping me except for my GF which unfortunately means I pretty much don't have anyone helping me. :P
Anyways I'm off to go get the engine hoist, and with a little luck have this puppy plucked by the end of today. Unfortunately I won't be able to get the replacement engine in today since I'm still waiting on some parts and have to get new oil cooler lines made up.

took me like 3 hours of jacking up car and undoing lsat few bolts then the NA engine came out easily.
Took me 5 hours to install the TII engine because I had to pull it back out after getting it half way in due to the entry angle begin off.
It's all about lining up before you put it in.
Make sure the tranny is sticking down a bit and you will have a quick install.

Taking it out the first time was fun. Wasn't too hard but then again, I had no emissions/AC/PS to deal with.
Taking it out the second time is not fun. I'm getting lazy and need to work on my car to get it ready for Sevenstock.
