Pulley kit= more hp?

SR Motorsports has an underdrive pulley kit for our cars. Ive heard mixed results about pulleys in general, does anyone know or have any experience with them for fc's? Im wondering if the 10 hp it claims to gain is at the wheels(cant imagine).

You will probably have charging problems with the reduced alternator speed.

From what I've read, underdriving the waterpump is not a good idea... Especially with a stock cooling system.

Underdriving the water pump is a great idea on track cars. The pump cavatates at high RPM so slowing it down will increase your cooling efficiency. I would not do it to a street car though as the lower pump RPMs will cause the car to run hotter in traffic and when driving normal.

A few hp maybe, highly doubtful that you'll get even close to 10hp from them, but on a street car, like others have said, it'll compromise the charging and cooling systems.

+ underdriving the weak FC alternator will most likely cause problems on a street car.

Only on a track car or a show car.
