Puffing from exhaust when going over 160
I have been getting a "puffing" from my exhaust when I go over 150-160, and it really cuts out my acceleration, right now, I have some nice "speed holes" in my mufflers, fabricated by "rust inc." and I was wandering if that is the problem, I do plan on getting a new exhaust system soon, I was thinking racingbeat full tii exhaust, next spring, and I was wandering if that will fix the problem, or is it clogged cats? Either way, if I get racing beat, I am hoping it will fix this...

It is more of a noise, like, the exhausts kind of cuts out for a second at that speed or something, and I lose alot of acceleration... it is normaly only when I am goin over 160, but sometimes when I am doing heavy accelerating, it happens... I don't have much of a clue here..

Spring for a new fuel filter before you do anything else. If its happening that low, you've got a delivery problem big time.
Mine happens at between 8100-8400rpms depending on air density and how I have the S-afc set for the higher revs. This is on a BIG street port with TII intermediate housing N/A engine. A/F guage pegs lean and she cuts power completely. New fuel pump and probably new computer are in my very near future.

I say replace the fuel filter, check your cat anyways. It may not be related to this problem, but it can still be clogged or close to it. These ARE old cars, and a lot of people (99%) of them dont take proper care of their car.
Btw, a turbo ii can go well over 100mph or 160km/h, saying its fuel cut = retarded unless buddy doesnt know how to shift.. but then I dont think hed be doing 160.

Now that were on the topic of high speeds, anyone else get that cycling warble drone type noise above 150kph? It sounds like my driveshaft is out of balance or something. It's like I can feel the rotors lumping around in there. It's okay at high revs in any other gear, just not at high speed. You'd think it'd be prone to this in 4th at 1:1, but not in 5th. Any thoughts?
