any way to get rid of the varriable ps assist?

to have constant PS, not jsut at low speeds?

Judging by the wiring diagrams you'd just have to cook up a manual controller for the stepper motor on the power steering pump. Shouldn't be too difficult for someone who's worked with electronics before.

It'd be kinda sweet having a control **** for your power steering though
I think this is a better idea than just "de-powering" the steering rack.

Edit: Actually, you might not even need to make a controller. Once the stepper motor has the valve where you need it, it just needs a voltage to hold the motor in one place.
