pros and cons of swapping exhaust

i have a 1988 RX-7 GTU and the whole thing is stock and i love it. i have a hole in the last cat before the pipe and i am upgreading from that (1.7 inch exhaust system to a T2 exhause system. i think i am going from 1.7 to a 2.7 exhaust. waht are the pros and cons to this.?

Now are you saying you want to switch from your stock n/a exhaust to a stock TII exhaust?

depending on where and what u buy they might end up to be the same...i know the walker dynomax catback is the same for t2 and NA applications...
