PROPPER installation of REAR strut bar
PROPPER installation of REAR strut bar
Yes i've searched and everyone just says put the bar on and drive. But i know there is more to it.
1: Do i want the bar adjusted all the way inward so its pulling the struts toward the inside of the car? Or do i want them adjusted so they are pushing toward the outside of the car??
2: Do i want to raise the car into the air the same way you would install a FRONT strut bar?
3: If i am raising the car in the air do i make my adjustments to the bar while its up in the air?

If it's adjustable I'd adjust it to put some preload into it (pushing out).
The rear has shocks, not struts, so either way it won't matter for camber, and adjusting it for preload will be better for stiffness.

YOu do the rear just as you would the front, lift, and put as much preload as posiable.. also the rear should bolt directly onto the strut tower.. on the rear. Not the speaker box... something like this:

Hope that helps.

i just slapped mine on. i think the concencus about jacking it up is forrect, but it wont matter. it prevents flexing. its not supposed to keep it a certain way so you need to jack it up. its supposed to just not felx. jacking it up or not jacking it up achieves the same result imho.

HA same here .. i just slapped it on and went HAHAH
