Proper Idle adjustment how-to???

I know there used to be either a thread or a link to a web site that described in detail how to adjust the idle on a FC. i remember it involving unplugging the TPS and adjusting things but i could really use the how-to again so I don't screw anything up.

thank you for your help and not flaming me.

Found the how-to again on FC3Spro.com adj tps when warm to be in spec then adjust BAC valve to adjust idle.

bac valve? i have an original mazda rx7 technician's manual. if you have an n/a you adjust the idle with the screw directly on top of the throttle body untill its at about 750 rpm. then you need to adjust the tps. oh yeah when adjusting the idle with the screw you need to run a jumper wire to the green clip/port thats near the passenger strut tower by the air box.

If you can't get good idle by using Matt's instructions, above, you might have a serious vacuum leak....not just the hoses, but the UIM and LIM gaskets.

nexpo8, that has nothing to do with adjusting the idle. Having no experience with automatic trannys i can't tell you for sure but I'm pretty sure that's tranny related.
And I second Matt.. Adjusting the idle screw and tps is fine and a lot quicker LoL.. Doesn't the BAC adjustment thing have to do with when it idles cold and then warms up and dies?

Diddo. My idle is funky about 2 and a half minutes after i start it up in the morning. It sputters up and down between 1100 and 1300 rpm then idles OK at 8-900. It's either the thermowax pellet or tps needs adjusting. Don't know a whole hell of a lot about doin that...need it dumbed down about also to put it bluntly.
