Proper Coolent Flushing?

well, I just replaced my thermostat and my car is still getting alittle hotter than i want it to... Its an S4 that usaly stays at 1/2 way all the time... sometimes just a hair over that...I still have to check for more leaks but theres only 2 small ones that i know of, at the thermostat Housing Cap and the "cap's housing gasket" at the top of the ThermoHousing( i duno what thats called, anyone know where i can get that gasket?) would a small leak like that cause it to sit a halfway like that? could it be more air in the lines?

BUT my next step after that is to Flush The Coolent... MY consern was that if i used conventional Engine Flush, that it would Kill the Coolent O-Rings or worse... So whats the proper way to flush a rotary? with that please understand that ive never Flushed any car so any help would be great...

also on that note, is it 50/50 that i refil with?
or 70/30?
Thanks
Tim

try www.mazdatrix.com for those gaskets

and there is 2 ways you can flush the system, i would do both

drain all coolant out of radiator

refill with water

start car and run until warm

re-drain

repeat process until all you see is water coming out

and...

once you do this, remove upper and lower hoses, and run the streaming water from the water hose (without nozzle) through the top of the motor and let it run out the bottom

also do this with the radiator with bottom hose off

I wouldnt put any additives like flush into it, unless its really bad and you can see **** like flakes of rust floating around

i have never used any flushes before, just water.

and yes, you want to use 50/50 GREEN coolant, you can also try Red Line's water wetter to get some cooler temps

also, i have sn s4 n/a as well, and my gauge rarely goes all the way to half-way unless its super hot out or i am ragging on the car

i dont have the stock radiator, its a OEM replacement that is all metal and i bought at www.radiatorexpress.com for like $130 or something, i cant remember, i needed a radiator and didnt have the $$$ for a "racing" one such as a Koyo or fluidlyne

also, make sure when u are filling it for the last time, all the air is out, this is a great thing to buy to fill it without making a mess and to watch all the bubbles come up to make sure there isnt any air in the system
