Proper break in procedures

hey all, just wanted to know if there was anything different i needed to know about breaking in a remanufactured engine versus the original engine?

... also, i know i could go read the manual or search (network at work is really slow today) ... what is the "proper" break in procedures for a reman or a rotary? things to look out for, things that i don't need to worry about, tips, tricks, hints, etc.

thanks.

If you search, you'll find a lot of opinions on the subject. I drove mine, shall we say quite conservatively, a couple blips to 5 grand, that's all, then changed the oil @ 500 miles. Drove a little stronger up to 1000, changed oil again, and then drove it, what I consider normal.

I've read...set the idle to 1500 rpms, don't rev past 4K rpms, no boost till 2000 miles. change oil at 500 miles and 2000 miles. then, consider it broke in.
