promising purchase?

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum. i had trouble deciding between buy/sell and 2nd gen specific.

URL here

Anyway, this guy lives near by, so i was thinking about traiding my BMW for his FC. I was just wondering how hard it would be to reassemble those parts he is talking about -the upper manifold and injectors. i have no rotary experience so it would be good to know if this guy knows something i don't. Like maybe he installed something wrong or it's just to complicated. What should i look for if i go visit the car? It just seems like, if he only had to put together a hand full of parts he would have done it already. Another thing: he e-mailed me with some info and he told me that he goes out and turns the engine by hand in order to keep the seals lubricated. Doesn't seem like that would work very well at pumping the oil, so is rust something i should be worried about? Also what kind of value do you think that car has considering the new engine and everything. not $3000 -i know that, but my BMW is worth about $2100.

Seems like a reasonable deal if the engine was in fact built by atkins just a couple of months ago. You will go through some pretty rough times of flooding, hard starting, and driving slow for break-in for the first 1000 miles or so since the engine has not been run yet.

All of the work mentioned is not too difficult, but for someone new to cars, or even rotaries, that may be a bit frustrating to get it running. I'd say find someone in your town that knows what they are doing and is into rotaries, that way you don't get stranded on your own with a broken car.
