What are and what is NACA specs? Remember this was just a rainy day project.. I am by no means an engineer..

Hmm, not familiar with this pretty interesting.. this line stood out to me though...

anyone ever removed the fog lamps and used those openings for an air intake duct ?

Yes but there is bumper and metal all up in the way. I made a Vented insert for them but it was not functional at all..

a duct that dumps directly onto the filter is the optimal design.

the naca design works because the 90 degree drop into the vent causes some kind of vortex that helps cause air to flow into the opening, people that try to round that off mess with the airflow
