So I have a 90 FC and I got it really cheap. I'm doing small stuff as I go but my goal is to turn it into a drift car. Let me know what you guys think.

ok so this is how the car looked when I first bought it.



When i got the car the the tranny was bad so I took it out to put a new one


Also I'm putting in an LSD diff off an 87 GXL, took mine out.


New tranny under car.


No diff or driveshaft waiting for LSD diff.

 

Are you keeping it streetable or going for a full out drift car?

Remember to change the fluid in the trans before you go beating on it

 

its gonna be a street car which ill take drifting haha. I feel if u gonna build something than enjoy it

Did you have a fun time switching out the lsd?Was a mild pita when i did it.

 

at first i thought it was gonna be a bitch to take the subframe off but i did it in about half an hour it took longer to take of the dam exhaust cause of the rusted bolts but nothing a saw saw cant fix hahah

 

When you planing on coming by? And did you still want those shifter bushings?

So yesterday i started the car and the tranny feels good, just some finishing touches left like exhaust ans stuff l

ok so I took my diff off today(again) and took it to Frank at TH Automotive to get it welded ima rock the welded diff for a while and see how it goes. Gonna do some body work tomorrow so ill post some new pics den.

Don, I'm deciding on an LS1 swap what you think?

 

Ahhh I would not go welded for a street car,have welded a lot of diffs for race cars but on the street they can be a handful, especially parking etc. and LS1 is cool but its not cheap! Gimme a ring and we can discuss.

 

Don, cool Im just shooting ideas haha and Im not planning on driving my fc on the street, strictly for drift. oh and do you need another FC? my buddy is selling his turbo2 for 500, just missing the motor i was gonna post it but thought I should ask you first

ok so im getting some body work done and getting it ready for paint by the summer. so far im doing the back, plugging all the holes for the spoiler, antenna and emblems, and priming it flat balck.
