Project Car... need help

hello i'm jules from the philippnes m relatively new with the rotary engine but for me the car is very interesting and i really like the way it look. anyway i justy bought an 86 rx7 fc this is what i got. its na and its really old. it uses a lot of gas but rus really well. its a us version fc so i have a lot of questions regarding with the car and i hope the people in this forum would patiently help me in building my dream car.

first the car was not originally sold here by mazda. it is an imported car here. the "casa" or mazda motors here are not fit or no knowledge with rotary engines. also the tuners here are very expensive and i dont rust thier worksmanship. i have the car for almost 6 mos and i currently downloaded a service manual from mazda which is available at the net. so most parts that i may need are imported from hongkong or japan. and i basically do almost all the work for the car.

my future move or next tuning is i want to install a turbo engine. i'm very fond of drifting and circuit racing i also have an ae86 and an eg6 which is already done which cost us around 2million pesos (approx US$35000) for tuning and restoring. anyway back to my topic. i would like to change the engine here are some questions

1. what do i need to check when buying a used engine
2. is it better to have a used turbo engine with a tranny or would it fit with the na tranny
3. for wiring issues would the na instrument panel and gauges work or is it bolt on with the turbo wiring harness?
4. should i overhaul the used engine before i install it to the car?

well guess thats all for now.. the na propeller shaft will work with the turbo tranny i guess. and i still have the lsd to work with..

thank need help with this real badly.

last question. my gauge is us so its in mph. is the trip meter reading miles?

i know most of my question may sound dumb... this is a real big learning process for me..

Do not use NA tranny w/turbo engine It's not strong enough
and I would rebuild the engine if you're gonna use it for track
