Problems with the seven

Alright here's my situation, about a week or two ago i bought all new belts for my seven. Lastnight while i was cruisin with my friend, they pretty much all broke. WTC What happened? I'm 99.99999% positive that they were on there correctly. I had on that autozone brand on Kelly Springfield? Are those good belts. Well i guess i'm just going to have to go buy new belts now, are there any thoughts to why they broke or do i need certain belts. Help.

As arron said, very common for people to put the new belts in with way too much tension.

Did you follow the shop manual set up for them or did you just put them on to what you think was tight?
