Problems:( got answers?

Yea, my seven is starting to have some problems that anoy me .. some that scare me.. I have been real busy lately and seems like the problems are springing up quicker than I can fix em..

First question I have is :
My tranny is making noise.. sort of like a grindin noise (not when put into gear) Just when I don't have the clutch pushed in... I am thinking it is the pilot bearing.,.. Last time I took engine out, that bearing came out in pieces... if I push clutch in, the noise stops... Any other ideas of what this noise could be? the grinding speeds up with engine RPM ....
ALSO my tranny just feels rough lately, I have checked the fluid (redline fluid) and it's full still... so I am just thinking about rebuilding it, or going in and measuring syncros and whatnot.. changing bushings.. the whole deal.. Mostly cuz I want to learn about it too does anyone know a webpage that talks about rebuilding trannys ? or anywhere that has transmission parts for sale I could just look at for prices....

Electrical problems... I know VERY little about electrical components, anything electrical I barely know.. So I hate the electrical parts of my car Well my battery doesn't seem to be charging,,, I will recharge my battery over night with trickle charger... and it starts up just fine in morning... if I drive around a good amount during day, my volt meter will read a little below 12.. (supposed to be a little above 12, where is used to ride permanently) Well it gets worse.. if I stop at stop light using break , the volt meter can even go near 10 ! my lights will dim big time... but it will continue to drive perfectly fine... once I get home and park it... go inside to get something let's say, and I go back out.. it cranks very slow... Barely starts... and volt meter is low again..

I just purchased new battery... and had it tested 2 weeks later.. it's fine... I also had them check alternator IN car at same time... Well I took it back a week later and had the local autoparts shop test alternator OUT of car... it was getting a little low reading because of a loose connection, which I tightened and then it read Normal.. So the alternator and battery are functioning properly... My other thought is Grounds... I just rebuilt it a couple months back and Knowing nothing about grounds I probably missed 1 or 2, or 10, or 50 I have no clue.. Perhaps you could tell me of some grounds it could be that causes my problem... I have gone to starter motor connections and emory papered the connections, same to alternator connections (by the way when the connection on the alternator was loose, it was sort of melting the plastic part... ) my stupid fix atm is to charge battery in morning before I go out haha I still am stumped, and about to waste money (100 bucks)buying a new alternator I don't think I need. Any thoughts any of you have would be well appreciated!

also I was wondering if anyone knew a way to test O2 sensors ? Would unplugging O2 sensor and running car be a bad idea? I'm afraid it might run lean or something and POW.... It's just I feel the O2 sensor is sucking hehe

And air/fuel ratio meter... I want to purchase/install one, but was wondering what kind you guys would suggest for an N/A. Something cheap and reliable.. (I will do a search for this in a min, it just popped in my head )

Thanks so much for all your help guys!

I was having the same problem, everything I checked was good. Then I found my alternator wire was rusted almost in half, only under the rubber boot where you couldn't see it. Sometimes it's the simple things. Good luck and hope this helps.
