problems with backspacing on wheels

hello i just bought 16 inch american racng rims for my 7, they do not look lke they will fit. I think that the rims are a little to dep, they sit in about a inch farthert than stock, where would i have to go and how much troublle woul;d it be to space them back so thye sick out more, i need help i need to know how to do this please...

spacing them out would put alot of stress onto your lugs because the lug nut is not screwed all of the way down thus holding more pressure on less threads........ an inch is alot of space to make up if you look at how much room you actually have to work with.........****.....for about as much as those a/r rims you could buy some rota circuit 8's for about the same price........they look damn good on any car.......pd 500 for 16x7's and have no problem with backspacing......

ps. miatas have same bolt pattern as rx7's

You'll need 1" "offset" spacers.&nbsp PM ARD T2 to see if he can get them for you.&nbsp Expect to pay $100-$200 for a PAIR - you'll need two pairs for front and rear.

whats the stock backspacing on a 88 14" SE wheel, the backspacing on my rims is 5.5 inches

also, i just ofund that they are 5 inches on stock SE wheel, will i need to find spacers for front and rear?...can i do just front ones.....and if i do them will i have to change the studs if i only use 1/4inch spacers?

also my tire size is 205-55-R16
