Angry Problems after installing new ACT clutch

all kinds of noises r coming now...while shifting slipping metal noises r heard ...the clutch itself holds real well even at high rpm's so the clutch is not slipping...the mechanic did replace the release bearing and the pilot bearing and also resurfaced the fly wheel...he says it's some minor bearing in the tranny but says it's nothing to worry about...to me it's not like it was b4...it's frustrating since the shifting is not the same and also this noise is present when the clutch pedal is not depressed and it's a spinng noise...this mechanic who did the clutch said it's nothing in the clutch assembly...anyone has any ideas?...I am taking it back to the mechanic and gonna ask him to check his work over...

I get a bearing noise at idle with the pedal out, that goes away when pressed in. it's pretty normal with these cars, I've never heard it while shifting though. only at idle.

he might have damaged the front tranny bearing while removing or installing the tranny.

It could be that the T/O bearing is messed up. I had that happen once when I did a clutch in my car. It was VERY noisy at idle, unless I pushed the pedal down. Once I got to speed it was ok.

Probably the input shaft bearing. This gets damaged usually as a result of some idiot using the tranny bolts to pull the engine and tranny together (instead of lining things up and getting them to go together smoothly). RX-7 trannies are kind of tough to reinstall, since you really have to physically tilt the engine back to line it all up, so the shortcut is a little too tempting for many people.
