Problems with ACT clutch

Hey. i have an ACT clutch... and sometimes my clutch will feel nice and stiff (its brand new), but then sometimes its really soft. I dont know if it has air in the system or what. I bled the system when it was installed, but never since then, and i have 1400+ miles on it now.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Justin

try and bleed it again. or maybe your slave or master is going out.

sounds like a clutch master going. mine did that to me in NYC traffic until it went completely soft and could no longer extend the slave cylinder(tow truck time) also sometimes when it went soft the clutch would engage as soon as i started letting the pedal up!

I thought it was either the master cylinder or slave cylinder.. but my buddy told me that if you pump the clutch a lot and then try and put it in gear... you can tell if its the master cylinder or not... I tried it but didnt make a difference... I think ill end up replacing it anyways..

thanks

just buy new master and slave if they are still original. 70.00 shipped from victoria british. also it might help to use a ss clutch line, if you dont already have one. then a good bleeding after installing the new parts should be good to go for another ten years.
