problem wiht my car

recently i was going to take my car out for a spin. but problem is, it will only go into gear when the car is off. when the car is on, its hard to get it into gear, and will only go into 5th. so basically when i want to go somewhere i have to put it into gear with the car off. even if i repeatly press the clutch down and try to let it into a gear. still nothing. anyone happen to know what could be wrong with it? please let me know. thanks.

Sounds like the slave or the master may be bad and not fully disengaging the clutch.

^You can check the slave cylinder visually. If it's not working replace it and if you have the money, go ahead replace the master too.
