Problem w/ cold start

Recently the temp's have been dropping into the 20's during the night and the FC hasnt been liking it. When I go to start the car in the morning, it will kind of choke for a second and then the rev's will turn smooth. I think it could best be described as a gummed up carburator that takes a few revs to get the fuel flowing. That's what the car does for about the first 3 seconds it's running and then it smooth's out. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Also, it only does this when its cold outside. During the summer and fall it was a smooth start.
