problem starting

my car recently have problem starting
sometimes it starts right when turn the ignition
but sometimes i have to mess with the clutch a little, like step on it hard, release it, step on it again, repeat a few times ...
have you guys experienced it before ?

You must have a 87 or later car, and the clutch switch is loose or out of alignment.

yes my car is 87
so ... what should i do ?
take it to the shop and tell them to do alignment to my clutch ?

Tell them the problem you are having and suggest that the clutch interlock might be misaligned. Do NOT use the word "damaged". If they hear that word they will replace it and that's not cheap.

Climb under the dash, look at the clucth pedal... see the switch on it, either tighten it or adjust it as needed.

its like a two minute job, only someone that knows nothing about cars and doesn't even do their own oil changes would take it into a shop.

oh
thats not that bad
just a switch
i thought i have to deal with everything like take out my tranny and all that
coz the clutch is misalign sounds bad
