Problem? Solution?
Ok, as this is the RX-7 Club, I know what the solution to this question is most likely going to be. I have a 1988 RX-7 GTU, 43,000 org. miles. I was hellbent on converting it to turbo, and throwing the (sub-10,000) dollars I have saved up into making it a nice little monster. But right now, I have the opportunity to buy a 2003 Ford Mustang GT with 18,000 miles for 17,000 dollars. I know the RX7 would make me happy, I love rotary's, and I love working on them. This Mustang deal is just so good though, it's hard to pass up. Also, my parents are set on my having a "newer" car, reliability issues, etc. I've been bouncing from car to car for months now, to keep mine, or not, and I just really, really need some opinions.

adrock3217 - They are two completely different cars. Do you want a Mustang with big straight line power and V8 torque, or do you want an FC that you will still have money to mod, handles better, and is lighter. With a TII swap and a couple mods, the FC will be faster than a Mustang anyway. I know what I would do.

Dump the FC and buy an FD. 17k will get you a nice FD. Its a newer car so your parents will be happy and it'll smash that stang. Plus it turns heads like no other car. Simple choice really.
