inpact gun is the only way I know how to do it. you could take the alternator off and take it to auto shop they will change the pully possably for free but if they charge you i cant imagine it would be much seing as it will only take them a min.

i was about to start a new thread for this, where did you get the pulley? and do you just put another alternator belt on or find one that just goes from the water pump to the alternator. (i took off airpump,a/c,p/s)

I took mine into an auto store. Drive there, sat around for 15 minutes until the alternator cooled enough for me to handle (long drive there), took it off, had them zip the old pulley off & put the new one on, reinstalled it, drove off.

You just need 2 of the "Alternator belt" belts.

hey i dont know what company it is from, however it has a rotar on the front and it is anodized silver. i was wondering if there is a way to do it with mabey a screw diver or something. i dont really have a ride to any auto shop as they are all far away and my only other mode of transportation is my brothers bysicle.

Use a strap wrench around the pulley, you can loosen the nut by putting tension on the pulley. DO NOT wedge a screwdriver to attempt to hold it, you can/will damage the alternator.

If you arent going to do it properly, LEAVE IT ALONE!
