Problem : Knocking sound

My brother was driving the car. He hit the brakes hard to avoid hitting another car. He managed to brake in time but after that hard braking there seem to be a knocking sound. The sound is very obvious at low speeds. I looked under the car to see if any thing was broken... could not see any thing. Have not brought it to my mechanic yet.

Was wonder if you guys knew what could be the problem ? Broken mount/bushing or
something more expensive

Thanks

my brother has a lite knock in his car the brake pads have like springs to hold them from moving if they are lost or smushed the pads will knock against the caliper.

i don't think it is the springs. It is a constant noise that speeds up with the car. But i will check that none the less

Thanks
