Cluster (Speedo) Question
Ok, before anybody starts to flame im not doing this for a regular basis. My friend from Germany (charge) has just put a new engine in his car. He bought a speedo that has 100km or so more on it, and wants to turn it back to the original km. His question is how to turn it back, if you dont feel comfortable posting, pm me. I know this is illegal but this is for his car only. If I can get the answer quick, a mod can delete this thread. Thanks

Six of one..half a dozen of the other....first it is illegal to alter the mileage on the car,..BUT..if you have to do it,just get another gauge cluster, with less mileage on it.DONE!

There is a C clip on the odometers (there are two on a FC, one you can see, one hidden in the back of the gauge.
Once the C clip is removed, you can slide the number rollers down off of the locks in the shaft and reposition them any number you want too.
But as mentioned earlier, it is a federal offense to tamper with the mileage readings on the car here in the states.
