problem with aftermarket boost gauge
well my boost gauge looks shot, i mean it reads above 5 psi when the car is turned off and even when the car is turned on it never moves from that point...could the gauge possibly be connected improperly? or is the boost gauge just plain old dead?

well the stock one apparently moves around in good working order...it jumps up to more or less +20. but my aftermarket one won't move at all it's stuck at just around 5psi all the time even with the engine off.

if it is mechanical, check the complete vacuum line for a blockage. if it is electrical, check to be sure you have a power supply to the guage, check all your fuses, etc. double check your connections to the pressure sensor as well.
if nothing is found wrong i would say it is likely your gauge took a crap.
