Prices on Toyo tires
Anybody know a good site to get prices on Toyo tires? -- It doesn't look like the Yokohama A032R's will work very well for me. I was looking at the Toyo TS1 Tires and the Proxy RA1's for 17" rims (in case you happen to know the price for those )
Thanks!,

the TS-1's are pricy, I have the cnd retail price book and they run $500-700cnd each for 17's. of course you never pay full retail on a tire. maybe 60% at a good store. also that's much less in US funds.

Just today i was quoted some prices for Toyo Proxes RA1's in
225/50ZR16's $120US each
245/45ZR16's $160US each
these prices were from the NZ distrubutor straight to me at trade price, i would guess that the 235/45ZR17's ( i think that's the sizing they come in) would be somewhere around $180US trade price, so around $230-250US retail possibly higher

4 Toyo Proxes T-1S in 225/40/18 ran me $720 at Tire Kingdom last month. If you are at all thinking about this tire by all means get them...
I don't know about their other tires but these are great. I used to have P-Zeros/MXX3 Pilots/Yokohama AVS Intermediates. I like the Toyo's the best. Nice tread design, they seem to wear well (considering) and they have a rim protector.
Their dry grip is on a par with any of the aforementioned, but their wet grip is better than any of them. (I'm only concerned about the dry performance but it's nice to have a tire that does both) The only other tire that cabn do this that I know of would be SO-2/SO-3's. They are considerably more expensive.
They have the best wear to grip ratio of anything I've run.

I just got a set of the Kuhmo 712's I like them alot. work well in the rain and great on the dry. I cant see why anyone would want to spend the extra money on yoko's or toyo's anymore, UNLESS you just have to have the name.
OH yea less than $100 per tire too. total bill was less than $480 for mounting balance and road hazard.

Not wanting to shell out the big bucks for Michelin Pilots, I opted to give the Kumho 712's a try on my Mercedes black beauty speed demon...LOVE EM!! Run great in rain and on dry pavement.
Best run was from San Antonio to Texas Motor Speedway for the CART race...85-115mph almost all the way leading a nice little highspeed convoy!!
I plan on putting a set of 712's (with 18'ers) on my Vert this coming spring.
