Price Check -- Clean GXL
I was at a restaurant tonight and when I pulled into the lot I noticed a super clean red GXL. I left a note on the guys window saying I'd be interested in purchasing it. Anyway, the car is VERY clean on the outside... no paint chips, dents, or scratches. The interior is equally as clean and the black leather seats look almost new. It's an automatic and has 185,000 miles on it. That's not a big deal, though, because I'm planning on swapping it anyway. So what would you pay for this car? KBB says around 3 grand but I thought it'd be more like 2-2500. I don't even know if he's going to call but I should be prepared to negotiate if he does. I already have a '90 GXL but it would take as much money as this car would cost to get it in the same condition. Thanks.

The guy called me back. The motor is almost new with 18,000 miles on it.
He just hit a deer with it today which is convenient considering we have a GXL with the parts we'll be needing.
He's got ALL the paper work and oil changes have been done regularly.
It looks like we'll be picking it up next weekend or so for $2,500-3,500 depending on what the estimate is on it.
I got to test drive it... it was amazing!
