pressure sensor and oil gauge...

Alright, code 13 (pressure sensor) will not go away from my computer. It came on a while ago, I took a look at it and there was a leak in the vacuum line that goes to the pressure sensor- thats fixed. Light still comes on and its still code 13 after resetting computer. It seems that it started coming on in cold weather with throttle pressed more than 50%. Do i need to replace the sensor? What could the problem be?

Oil guage- I have a 95lb oil pressure regulator (I know its too much and will put my stock one back in when i get time) and when i start the car the guage will go right up to about 60psi. Then a minute later it will just go to zero and not come back up at all. It used to work sometimes but now it just works less and less each day it seems. I know that pressure is there. And YES the wire is on secure on the sending unit. Do i need to replace the sending unit or what?

sorry for the lenghly post but i need to get my car fixed fast and Im trying to provide as much info as possible that might help diagnose problems

thanks in advance for any help

well, i have a little update--if anybody cares...

pressure guage started working randomly after motor got fully warm. i think i'll replace the sending unit. i figure the diaphram could be sticking on it and not reading right all the time. i know its got pressure b/c the oil cooler line gets rock hard if i turn the throttle

as far as the pressure sensor thing, im still at a loss. its really startin to bug me... am i correct that if the code is set that the ignition timing will be retarded? or is the pressure just set at 760hgmm?

anyone...

I don't have a 89, just 87 and older, but if it were me, and it were a 87, I'd go to the plug on the sensor and check for 12v at the black and white wire, a ground on the brown and black wire(pure black on 88's), a reference voltage on the brown and white wire, and ohm out the brown and red wire to the ECU. Thats if it were a 87. I'd also go to the manual and put a vacuum on the sensor and see what the output voltage is. Something like 100mghg for a 2.5 to 3.5v reading. Thats if it were a 87, which yours is not.
