Pressure plate not lineing up?

So I finally got some time at my shop to put in my new flywheel, clutch and replace the bearings. My pilot bearing was in a thousand peices causing my car to have a grinding sound when I let the clutch out. Anyways I got everying out fine, no broken bolts nothing, but I'm having a hard time getting my new ACT pressure plate to line up with the Raceing beat flywheel. I can get the 4 smaller bolts in fine but the two black ones they send that act as make shift dowles arn't going in. It seems like the two black bolts aren't long enough to catch thread and/or arn't lined up when the 4 other bolts are holding the plate down. I bought 2 new longer bolts to help line her up tomorrow but I'm hoping someone had a similar problem and can give me some tips on making the job easier. Thanks for any help.
