Presilencer alternative

Hello, I currently have a rb header, mated to presilencer which doesnt really work anymore due to warped flange either on the header or on the presilencer, none the less the stud broke off the presilencer when i went to see if i can adjust the pipes.

I just picked up a jic spartan de for 100 bucks used still shiney. I just want to know if there is anything that can replace the presilencer, at a cheaper tag ofcourse.

I was looking into the CS midpipe, but read that the length is incorrect to mate up to racing beat products. So, now I am wondering, what can i get or make to be inplace of that thing. I dont like the presilencer at all, its like 40 lbs (exageration but its heavy) and the stud snapped!!!! wtf!

Okay, anyway, I need some ideas and help here hehe, sorry for the 1 millionth exhaust thread, I tried searching everything out, but didnt get a solid answer as to what parts to get to make this happen.

I know the rb presilencer end to end is like 21 inches and i heard most pipes are only 17 in to replace main cats.

Thanks.

Wow, how the hell did the flange manage to get warped? Those things are HUGE. Plus I can't believe you managed to break of a stud, too. Wow.
Anyway, the only thing I know of that is a direct fit is a bonez cat sold specifically for that space. You can also go to a muffler shop and have them weld in a magnaflow or something.

yeah i manage to break a stud, I dont really think the flanges are warped, maybe the studs bent, I dont know but the whole exhaust system didn't mate up right. the stud that broke off was mated to the y pipe, it look as if the previous owner fucked up something on the threads.

but yah, the impact gun did the trick.

I wish the bonez cat would really last on my car, i premix, and run carbed i dunno how my car is tuned, but it pulls well. lol butt dynoed!!

I just heard that cats gets clogged/deteriorate/burn out/ melt/ w/e u name it i heard of it when u run carb and premix. So i dont really know if it is worth trying to run one.

Just gotta ask, is the racing beat n/a exhaust 2in or 2.5in? definitly need some resonation with the jic exhaust. (i think idk what it sounds like, but looks to be loud.) I am thinking about the 4'' or 5'' round magnaflow muffler at 20 in overall length and get some flanges and get my friend to weld it for me.

blue streak glasspacks run revered seem to last a long time. They are very heavy duty and come in lengths up to like 40 inches or more. I ran one as a premuffler for about 25000 miles on a gslse, no problems.

It would have to be welded in.
