Prepping my car to sell (a few issues: 5th&6th port, fuel questions etc.)

So,

Me and a friend from the forum ran a couple of tests to see where my car is at performance wise etc. First we did a compression test using the "modified conventional tester" method. We were both suprised when the front rotor put out solid and consistent 105's, and the rear put out a near second at 100 psi. I guess the next step was to find out why my car felt kinda slow top end... SO, we wired open the ports to find out if there was any difference before and after, in case they weren't opening previously. Well, it was ALOT faster past 5k rpms, and also a lot slower below 3.5k. My only real issue now is that I had a hesitation before at 3800rpm that I thought was due perhaps to faulty 5th and 6th ports. BUT the hesitation remains and my ports are wired open...? My uneducated guess is that I am having a fuel issue when the secondary injectors kick in... I also say this cause I smell fuel quite often, my car has a rough idle, it has little hesitations when I try to hold a constant RPM under load and just recently (2x) at WOT I have experienced what feels like what 'fuel cut' felt like on my TII. Oh, BTW I have no idea what condition these injectors are in. I installed a 60k mi. longblock that I bought off of another forum member and just reused the injectors off of that motor. When we first got it all put back together, one of them was leaking very badly and we had to pull off the UIM to replace it with one off of my old 170k mi. motor. Should I buy new injectors? I don't want to send them off to be cleaned cause I need to drive my car. Me and a buddy will be exploring the LIM later this week (hopefully) in an effort to get the 5th and 6th ports opening correctly on there own, so I could just drop new ones in at that time. Sorry for the long post, but I'd appreciate any and all suggestions.

First - the red flag. "smell fuel quite often"
If you smell fuel, you have a fuel leak. You must fix it before it finds a spark.

The aux ports are worth the trouble to get working, even if that means installing an RPM switch & electric air pump.

You have some spare injectors, so maybe get them cleaned 2 at a time..

Another note on fuel injectors: The O-rings are normally not reuseable.
They get scuffed & scratched when the injector is pulled from the fuel rail.
You should install new O-rings (with a dab of oil) when working on injectors.

Just to clear this up: There is no fuel leaking outside of the motor (like dripping or anything) There was when we first installed it, but the leaky injector was replaced. The fuel that I smell is on start-up mostly. My (uneducated) guess is that the injectors are just spraying erratically or something, and that is the root to all of these issues... Thoughts anyone?

Also, do N/A's have the same 550cc injectors that the TII does? Or are they 460cc or something? If they're 550cc, I might be able to swap the ones off of my TII (I'm in the process of rebuilding) and send the N/A one's to RC to get them cleaned to put in the TII when it's ready.

could any of these symptoms be attributed to something other that fuel?

The 3800rpm hesitation is probably caused by a bad ground. Do a search for "3800 hesitation" and you'll find all you need to know.

The N/A has 4 460cc injectors.

hmm, I didn't know that (about the ground and injectors)... Thanks for the info.
