Do a tune up. Make sure the car doesnt overheat. Check tire pressure and wear. Double check all safety equipment like your seat belts, and make sure your seat is bolted firmly to the car. Check for any loose bolts in the engine bay, and dont forget to double check your lug nuts.
-Empty the car of any loose items such as floor mats, trash, cd's...
-Make sure you have more than 1/2 tank of gas.
-bring a tire pressure gauge and a pump to the event so you can adjust tire pressure.
-if it is hot, bring a large spray bottle to cool your tires if they get greasy after a few runs.
That is a basic start... If you want more info on how to drive properly, there is a link in my signature that will help you.
Have fun!
