Toe Links

Can anyone explain to me how aftermarket toe links are installed/adjusted? If anyone has the AWR installation instructions that would help as well. I'm trying to determine how they work and just looking at their picture of the product isn't helping.

Thanks.

Toe is normally adjusted by a cam washer on the outer control arm pickup points. The cam washers are held in place by a nut and bolt and are easily knocked out of place.

The AWR solution replaces the cam washer with a regular washer so it can not rotate and the outer control arm mount is in a fixed position. Now you need a new way to adjust toe, that comes from an adjustable lateral link. The link on the stock RX-7 is fixed in length, the one from AWR is threaded and adjustable in length. To install you need to drill out the holes where the lateral link mounts as they are tapered from the factory. Other than that, it's a bolt on application.

Look here on page 4 at the suspension diagram and then imagine if the lateral links could be adjusted, shorter would give you toe out and longer toe in. http://www.rx7city.com/Manuals/89-91...Suspension.pdf
