pre tubo

i got a 87 gxl na right now and i was wondering what mods i would have to do to support a greddy td06 turbo kit. done plenty of searches and just cant find a straight answer. thanks guys! (with all those mods needed and including mods that are a given (exhaust/ intake/new underdrive pulleys, no a/c, new pulleys)...how much HP would you all estimate id be pulling?

probably your best mod would be to change to a TII rather than a GXL.

The Greddy '06 turbo kit then would mount right on.

The kit doesn't fit your engine - it'll hit the lower intake manifold.
You're talking about a turbo kit that has the potential to put out 400hp - you're going to break the entire drivetrain one-by-one.

good point

good point...i was just speculating...never really looked into putting a turbo on my car before...just trying to get all i can out of bolt ons and porting. any advice on getting a turbo for NAs...or are there none out there. Im thinking my best bet would be to go to some junk yards and look around for a TII motor/turbo etc..

Um what kind of deal are you getting on the turbo kit then? I mean you can buy a decent TII for the price of it everywhere I've seen. Then sell your NA and start saving for the turbo.
