Powersteering computer location

I seem to be having trouble finding the power steering computer.

Does anyone have a photo of what it looks like? Everything I have read just says its near the steering wheel.
Could mine be different because it's a right hand drive?

It's a '87 turbo.

FSM might help, i don't know off the top of my head, and i am certainly not going to go lookin in the FSM for you.

The USDM ones actually say power steering on them...can't remember if its the S4s or s5s or both.

You could also go buy the wires(*number of them and colors, according to the fsm) to find the right box.

And lastly you could dissconnect the power steering and the PS computer will beep codes out with key on, then just listen for were the beeps are coming from.

if you think you found it and want to be sure, post a pic and we can confirm/deny it.

Below me, i though the fuel pump resistor relay was under the hood?

IIRC it's by the fuel pump resistor relay near the steering column under the dash.

Ah, I think I spotted it. There is a square box tucked up above the steering column. According to the FSM this is the 'P/S Control unit, mine had a black circle on it.

I'll have to look at it tomorrow, its getting dark now.

Cheers for the help!
