just bought 2nd rx, series2 86 EFE?

left stood for 3yrs, oiled via plugholes then started like a dream!!

did 200 miles then had following prob...

accelerate gently(huh??u what) and all is fine.
put foot down and car runs fine upto 3500 revs then hits wall like no more to go....

car is standard UK model non turbo, complete with silly exhaust which i threw away on series one....

any ideas??

will try new fuel filter tomorrow.secondary injectors been suggested but dont know if blocked etc, and why do they 'work' in 'gentle' mode???

injection is a foreign place to me, old skool carb boy...
