Powerloss across the entire rev range...

It's an 88 N/A, not a powerhouse by any means I know, but in the last few days there has been a noticable drop in power..not anywhere specific, but across the entire rpm range from idle to redline...it starts great, idles great and runs smooth, but lacks the oomph it had just a few days ago...and it seems to be running slightly hotter than it used to also...

All the plugs and wires have about 3k miles on them and I'm due for an oil/filter change, but other than that, the car has been a GREAT daily driver for me..and because I have to drive a twisty road to and from my house for about 5 miles each way, it has been the source of some serious driving enjoyment...

Now for the questions part...
Should I need to replace the plugs after only 3k miles?
Could it be something with the apex seals that could possibly be fixxed with the tranny fluid in the spark plug holes trick? (I haven't run a compression test on it and frankly don't know how..time for a search )
What else should I check for?

Any help would get my utmost appreciation...I really miss the way my 7 used to run

Therein lies an entirely different question....

I have no idea if it is a stock exhaust or not...I know i haven't changed the exhaust, but I think the outlets on the mufflers are bigger in diameter than a stock exhaust, but I don't know for sure...

I'm kinda (read:very) new to turning wrenches on the 7 so I wouldn't have the faintest idea how to tell if it's not the stock exhaust...
