Powerade Oil Catch Can

i recently put in a powerade oil catch can, non-vented, on my 86se w/ 88 tii swap
i have the hose going to that little tube going to the oil filler neck, down to a sealed powerade bottle. my question is:
Should it be vented?

and

y is there a little bit of water on the bottom of the can, is it bad?

It should be vented. It really should have another hose going back to the intake so the vapors can be burned while the heavier particles are trapped in the can. Accumulation of water and oil is normal.

ok cool, thank you Pvill

And wow THATS what that search thing is for, holy ****, this whole time i've been ordering pizza with that thing! no wonder my food hasn't been coming!!!

where on the intake, preturbo, or somewhere after?
ive seen on other websites (where they actually help each other, and not play moderator to some how make themselves feel better ROFL)
that they're actually making some pretty elaborate set-ups, but thought it would probably be different for our cars

Anywhere between the air filter and the turbo. I'd use -10AN hose or 3/8th hose. Alternatively, you could plumb it after the turbo but before the throttle body... you would need a one way check valve.

On my car I just ran a line from the filler neck to a bottle and wrapped a rag around the opening of the bottle to serve as an air filter. Used a zip tie to keep it in place.
