Power windows

So I bought new high quality switches (http://www.otrattw.com/proddetail.ph...A60B-ANCAT-100) to use as window switches because like 90% of the stock ones mine are shot, I'm going to wire them up with a Bosch relay but today as I was working on them I found that my drivers side motor doesn't want to move.

I ran a 14 gauge wire from my battery to the green and red wires (one at a time) on the window motor to check if it was indeed dead and still got nothing. this should have activated the motor correct?

why not just replace them with the stock switches and use a relay. The switches work fine its just they are not designed for the current load that 20+ years of corrosion entails.

because i can't find anyone that wants sell any for less than 100 each, and i don't know about you but im not going to spend that kind of money on something that will just fall apart in time lol.

so, if i apply power directly from the battery to ether the green or red line on the window motor will it activate? or do i need hook anything else up to test the motor? that's all i need to know atm.

How is your stock switch shot? Contacts burned out, switch completely broken, interior wiring caught fire?

Do a search for Mazda MPV window switches. They are interchangable by just changing the plugs.

So I got it setup and working, and have the switches where I wanted to put them. If anyone is interested here are some pics.

The switch:

My ideal location:

They fit with out any modification:

Testing the wiring:

Finished product w/ the security light that was in one of the holes:

They were slightly bigger than what I was hoping for but I like them. Finished product is assembled with heat shrink and "fabric" high heat electrical tape on all connections.

Those look nice, great job. Did you have to enlarge the holes or did they plop right in?

No modding at all, I was very happy with that part of the install, had my drimmel out and everything lol Although I did use a tiny bit of super glue on the bottom for extra support (didn't really need to though) because I don't like rattles or loose parts of my interor flopping around lol.

Not at the moment, the stock switchs are still there for the time being just the fill the hole up, I may cut some aluminium to cover it up, but idk. I have lots of spare metal and other stuff lying around from modding computer cases, so i'll think something up. Do you have any ideas?

Didn't notice till just now that your up in Vallejo, I picked my seven up in Santa Rosea on the 13th lol it was a bit of a drive from Fremont but it was worth it.
